Acrylic Painting
At the age of 35, I discovered that I have a passion for abstract painting. I have not taken any formal classes or anything by I do enjoy playing at the Firehouse Art Studio in Norman, OK. Below are some of my work thus far:
Cello
I haven't listened to any piece of music played on a cello that I did not like. There is something about the sound of a cello that feeds my soul. Even though listening to cello has been a long-time passion, I never thought I would be able to learn as an adult since I missed that boat when I was a kid. Thanks to Dorothy Hayes, a cellist at the OKC Philharmonic Orchestra, my dreams are coming true. Mrs. Hayes is teaching adult classes in Oklahoma City and those who strive make it to the Society of Strings, an adult strings group. I made it this year! We are going to give our first concert in December, 2011. I must work harder!
